Jeff and Tyler Murry brought the field to the green. Going into the first turn the cars resembled rush hour traffic on a Fri nite. Coming out of turn 2 Jeff and Kyle, with Kenny on the high side and Tyler Murry just beneath him. Kyle would get by Jeff with Kenny following. Bobby was challenging Tyler for the 5th position. On lap 5 Kenny would make a high side pass coming off of turn 4 and take the lead. Bobby had gotten by Tyler and now was working on Jeff. Alex, Tyler Johnson, and Tyler Murry were battling back and forth for the 6th spot. Kenny was starting to stretch his lead and the race for 1st was over. Bobby would get by Jeff and start after Kyle. Kyle and Bobby would have a great race for 2nd with Kyle finally get a little breathing room. Kenny would take the win, Kyle 2nd, Bobby 3rd, Jeff 4th and Tyler Murry 5th.
The Midwest Lighting Sprints next race is on Sat nite July 13th at I-35 Speedway in Winston, MO, for the final nite of the Mid Season Championship. The racing in the Midwest Lightning Sprints is fiercely competitive. With low cost maintenance and motorcycle power, this is still the most economical way to go fast in a race car. These cars are almost 2 seconds a lap faster than an A Mod or a Late Model. New drivers/cars are coming out each week. Contact the MLS for info.
