Valley Speedway Endurance Race Rules
- Car and Body: Any absolutely stock passenger car, no turbos, no superchargers. Engine must match the car no motor upgrades. Minimum stock wheel base for V8 102 inches, minimum wheel base for V6 and 4 cylinder 88 inches.
a. Roll cages are optional but recommended. Must install door bars.
b. No bumper bracing but bumpers must be chained or cabled to prevent falling off. Must install chain front and rear for towing. Air bags must be disabled or removed.
c. Doors must be welded shut.
d. Windshield must be removed and 3 vertical bars on windshield opening spaced evenly to support safety screen. Bars must be completely covered with safety screen, no chicken wire. All other glass, trim, mirrors, ect must be removed.
e. Racing approved shoulder harness and lap belts are recommended. Racing seats allowed.
f. Window Safety nets are Mandatory on drivers side. Must be removable.
g. The rear seat shelf must be in place as a fire stop and any openings to the trunk must be enclosed with sheet metal and secured by weld, rivets, or sheet metal.
h. Complete bumper to bumper steel frame and unibody must be retained. No lightening.
i. Stock steel unaltered floor pans. Firewalls, trunk, wheel wells must be retained.
j. Cars must retain 100% stock in every way. Hood pins are mandatory, hood latch removed.
k. Gas tank must remain in stock location. Unless damaged then fuel cell is allowed.
l. Plastic grill, head lights, tail lights, trim, must be removed. Mesh can be put over grill area.
m. Mandatory fire extinguisher per vehicle mounted within reach of driver. No plastic mounts. - Car Number: 18 inch tall number on each side and top readable from scoring tower. Your number will be you pill draw number so bring your paint to mark your car and we must be able to read it.
- Suspension: 100% stock no altering of any kind.
- Wheels: Stock steel or original aluminum wheels only.
- Tires: DOT street legal straight grove tires only. No mud, snow, gumball etc and all must be the same size, no staggering
- Flat tires: You will be allowed to go to the pits to fix flats or make repairs. Pit speed is 5 mph strictly enforced.
- Weight: No added weight, keep it stock.
- Engine: Engine must be 100% stock in stock position, no modifications. No after market oil coolers, AC, heat components, and smog equipment may be removed. Stock Air cleaners no cold air intakes, Catalytic converters can be removed, must have original or stock replacement exhaust with functional muffler or glass pack, no muffler gutting. Tail pipe must be over rear end or in front of rear tire. No headers.
- Transmission: Stock transmission and rear end only. No after market oil coolers.
- Radiators: Only 1 stock radiator in stock position. No coolant or gas lines in driver area of car.
- Miscellaneous: No locked rears.
- Starting Position: This will be determined by pill draw generated by computer. That number will be displayed on both side doors and roof. No communications devices in the car of any type, including cell phones.
This event is intended to give people a chance to have a economical way to have fun on a race track. All drivers must be at least 16 years of age. Drivers under 18 must have a parent release. The event will consist of two 1 hour sessions. After the first session drivers will be allowed to return to the pits for a break and any adjustments. This is not demolition derby, any drivers driving recklessly will be black flagged and removed from the race. There is no alcohol consumption in the pits until the event is completed by all drivers. This includes everyone in the pits, if you are caught consuming alcohol your pit band will be removed and you will be asked to leave the pit area.
During the race you will be allowed to go to the pits for any repairs and allowed to return by the pit steward onto the track. Pit speed limit is 5mph and enforced with dq if needed.
The word stock is mentioned numerous times, that means stock so pay attention to what you do unless it is specifically addressed.
